The Dallas Cowboys may not have had a season to remember, missing the playoffs with such a talented team and watching another December slump, but they sure had their fare share of good-hearted tales.
There was Tony Romo, who helped a family change a flat tire on the side of the road.
Then there was Tony Romo again, who took a homeless guy to the movies.
Now, we have Terrell Owens helping a woman who was nearly struck by a maniac driver. It’s true. You can read about the odd episode at the very end of this article out of Virginia:
On a walk to a nearby drugstore, she stepped off a curb and was almost run down by a driver who changed lanes abruptly.
Hopping back onto the curb, she nearly collided with an athletic-looking fellow who checked to see that she was OK and made sure she made it back to the hotel.
That same fellow came through the company’s booth the next day.
“That’s Terrell Owens!” Ed Lawrence pointed out to his sister-in-law, who didn’t know the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver.
“He was so nice when I saw him at the booth and thanked him again for helping me,” she said. “He talked to us for a while and was very nice, posing for a picture with me. The class loved it.”
So, Owensdidn’t do anything superhuman, but it seems like he went the extra mile to be nice, and the picture above is proof of it. Now, if only these players could have chemistry like this in the locker room. Maybe this story seals his stay in Big D.http://thelandryhat.com/2009/02/26/terrell-owens-helps-woman-nearly-plowed-by-car/
