If you think that having gay players won't make others in the locker room feel uncomfortable then you're kidding yourself because, not only will it happen, but at a much higher rate than what the younger generation would like to believe. Additionally, comparing sexual behavior to the race is idiotic.

I don't see what the big deal is with his comments. This idea that everyone has to think exactly the same on that side of the situation, not everyone feels the same way. There are going to be guys who feel uncomfortable. Not everyone has been in this situation and knows exactly how to deal with it. With time I'm sure those players will come to know him as a teammate and friend and will understand their thoughts or preconceived ideas were wrong. I'm glad he didn't come out with the cookie cutter PC answer and instead gave his opinion.

I think Terrell Thomas might have had 1 concussion too many if he thinks this guy is the first gay player to be in the NFL.

Sam is just the first guy to openly admit it, but only an idiot would believe that there has never been any gay guys ever in the history of the NFL, they just kept it secret.
