That's an impressive 40 time for an OT, no doubt, but how are his actual blocking abilities? Not saying he's not a good blocker, cause I don't know much about him, I'm just more interested in his football skills than just how fast he runs in a straight line.

I found this online as a response to Armstead's 40 time: "In 2010, Bruce Campbell from Maryland, 6'6" and 314 lbs, clocked a 4.75 in the 40. He has yet to start a game in the NFL."

In today's pass-happy NFL, a lineman's 40 time isn't nearly as important as his agility and footwork.

Jerry needs to draft Bruce Campbell, I mean Terron Armstead, to play blocking TE while he gets stronger and learns the NFL game. He is a better blocker and faster than Phillips.

And I believe that Campbell ran a 4.85 at the combine. Not quite the athlete or the college production compared to Armstead.

Armstead had a good showing at the Shrine game and then as a late replacement at the Senior Bowl against some top pass-rushers.

I was just thinking about a super fast and athletic OL....draft Lane Johnson, Armstead, Bailey, and Schwenke.

LT - Smith
LG - Bailey
C - Schwenke
RG - Armstead
RT - Johnson

Four rookies?! As much as I'd like to draft all those guys, that's asking for trouble

I was only being semi-serious.....and yes, 4 rookies....btw, we would still have veterans for them to have to beat out to win the starting jobs.

You forgot OG/C Cooper and OT/OG Watson. And I would switch Bailey and Armstead in this scenario. As well as Smith and Johnson.
