Crayton will take Glenn's job next season.

CR, I had my 15 minutes of good humour for the day.

;)

But speaking of Pat, he's doing very well with his chances..very well indeed. His reception-target numbers are staggering.

Lets give credit where credit is due... Terry Glenn is coming up on 1,000 yards because of Terrell Owens.

Last year was because of Drew.
Why is TO even mentioned in this thread? Can Glenn not get his own props without mentioning TO? Getting a 1000 receiving yards in any season is an accomplishment and shouldn't be downplayed. Last year he did it without TO. And doing it back to back seasons with two different QBs (One vet, one inexperienced) is not the easiest transition to make.

TO's got about 5 threads to Glenn's measly one. Let him have it and move on.

Well lets face it... Terry doesnt get open like he used to, he has lost a step and the knee probably doestn hold up for another year.... plus Crayton should see more opps.

I mentioned why TO was mentioned... it is TO that opens up this offense. The only reason Terry got over 1,000 last year was because Drew threw to him to a fault. In the long run it hurt us thats all.

:laugh2: Quick, Mick.

Which Cowboys receiver was targeted most by Drew Bledsoe in 2005?

Hint, he was targeted 123 times, and had 71 receptions.

That's BS on a whole new level. Glenn has over 8,000 yards and TO has only been around for one of them. So how was he able to get the other 7k? Glenn is a good receiver in his own right and if he wasn't able to get open, regardless of who's on the other side, he wouldn't have gotten the yards and the catches he's gotten.

Seriously, it's been mentioned over and over, but TO AND TG work great together as a receiving tandem. Why does one have to be better than the other?

The ground? Opposing defenses?

Forget it, WG.

Even tho Terry Glenn has never once been the leading target on this team, the myth still exits that Bledsoe only threw to him.

Quincy and Vinny too. :lmao2:

I think that's a Romo thing moreso Glenn. While Romo seems to hit the bigger receivers in stride with the over the shoulder passes, I haven't seen him get those to Glenn as well.

I'm no expert, but I also think they're utilizing Glenn differently to get him involved in the passing game.

I do believe it's a Romo thing, but only because he feels a little more secure w/Owens. I HAVE seen Romo through the over the shoulder many times to Glenn, as well, and hit him in stride. The Colts, Bucs, & Falcons games come to mind.
I believe in time, Glenn will be the recipient of many great Romo deep throws.

Although I would prefer an 18.3 average, 14.6 is hardly pedestrian.
Anyone who says Glenn is anything but a great contributor to this football team doesn't know jack about the game. He still has speed to burn, & I love to watch him play. If they would give him more give & go plays to run, his average would climb dramatically.

The only thing wrong with our offense is some line issues and lack of a true coordinator.

Honestly, I think we need to fix the latter first.

Cool thing just happened to me at DFW earlier tonight. I was walking from security to my gate, and noticed the guy that had been walking in front of me was Terry Glenn. I'm pretty sure he was flying to Columbus. I'm guessing he has family there and is going to visit, because they don't have to be back untill Wed.

His oldest son lives with his mother there.

I hope you wished him a Merry Christmas for us. :)

If only he had had Owens there to open things up for him, he could have taken his time.:D

The facts are the facts... this is only Glenn's third 1,000+ yard season. Last year it was Drew, this year it was TO.

Glenn would probably tell you the same thing.

Oh and the first 1,000 yard season came when Glenn was with Drew in NE in 1996

I thought you were kidding in this thread.

But you're serious. :laugh2:
