How much of a sure thing that his playing career is done, whether ended by injury or that he just wont be a Cowboy come training camp?

IMO, he tried his hardest to make a playoff push, which in hindsight wasn't a good idea, and now might need some serious knee surgery. Which was a brave move for the team, but now with his contract and our team trying to get younger at the position he plays, is he a goner?

it was published during the season that he would need that second more serious procedure regardless. i don't think he endangered his career with his approach. he may have endangered his long-term health, but of course that remains to be seen.

It was also reported after the season that he won't need another procedure done if he wanted to play in '08.

As much as it saddens me, I beleive he's done... I believe Glenn played his best football last year, too bad that darn injury messed things up in 2007!

Surgery or not, you can't count on him anymore. That alone means he is either not going to be here, or he has to take a paycut. Either way, you might as well be looking at bringing in some fresh legs.

The rumor going around the Internet is that he will have microfracture surgery. If this is indeed true, he is done.

For a player his age, I would think 12-14 month rehab. Time to move and either draft a new WR or sign one in FA.

He's done...I have to comend him for trying to come back....but I think it's time for him to hang 'em up and for the Cowboys to move on.

I saw a quick end to Glenn's career once Bledsoe was done. It was all Romo and TO love. Glenn had a nice run for us but he's probably done.

all this mumbo jumbo means his knee is screwed. he could have gone ** surgery last year but just had cartlidge removed instead. People were giving him all kinds of credit for this but it is really what most players at his age would do since the ** requires, best case scenario, about 9 months recovery and is not particularly successful for older folks. He'll have that done when he is ready to hang them up.

If he plays in '08, it will have to be in a limited role. He's likely going bone on bone right now so he'll have all kinds of swelling all year.

Glenn is pretty much done. He'll give it a shot next year but I expect that unless he's used as a 4th or 5th WR somewhere that he won't be able to contribute much.
