Greatest thing TG did was he would give up his body 110% to make a catch. He would have dive in to a concrete wall if that's what he had to do to make a catch. I don't see anyone doing that on the current team.

I was a huge TG fan. Great route runner, great hands, really wish he could have stayed healthy!

Worst thing Terry Glenn ever did was fumble at our 2-yard line in the playoff game at Seattle, giving the Seahawks two points and the ball at midfield, turning our seven-point lead into a one-point deficit and costing us the game.

Not even close, yet.

Agreed. Austin is good, but TG was a polished pro who was still fast. Speed isn't as big a commodity as some think. Every team has fast players....only a few have great recievers that are really fast. It's a shame Glenn couldn't get past the contract issues with Jerry. I think Glenn and Jerry knew he couldn't make the full season...but Glenn wanted guaranteed money. Smart move on Jerry's part. He would still be a good WR had his knee not went teats up.

That post is wrong--on two different levels.

I hope you're kidding. That was one of TG's only poor plays for us as a Cowboy.

He was a spark plug, and regardless of statistics he was Romo's most trusted target not named Jason Witten in the 06 season. Crisp route runner, sure handed, got in and out of his breaks well, and could stretch the field well into his 30s.

He was one of the only reasons we got to that playoff game, so that was pretty random hate.

I blame our defense more for getting gashed late in the game when we had them on their 1, but hey I've never really expected our defense to actually make a play when it matters.

Everyone blames romo for the hold against seattle, but no one seems to bring up glenn's fumble back into the end zone for a safety. we lost by 1.

The way our D was playing in that game we probably give up at least a FG even if we hit it so bleh

When its the only thing you have to gauge a rookie against NFL talent which was against a D's first unit than yeah it is a great measuring stick cause he performed pretty well during that

OK, I understand you might think it's inappropriate (I disagree), but are you also claiming it's inaccurate?

No, I'm not kidding. That's the first thing I think of when I think about Terry Glenn's time as a Cowboy -- not any particular touchdown catch or long gain, it's that play. It was the worst thing he ever did as a Cowboy, and it's pretty close to the last thing he ever did as a Cowboy.

Yeah. That play was a killer for sure. It's a shame because that play essentially was how a lot of fans will remember him.

Glenn was an excellent WR. The only thing he didn't have was the size of a Fitzgerald or Randy Moss. Otherwise, speed/quickness, smarts, route-running, hands, body control...he had it all. He's kind of the forgotten man when great WRs of his era are discussed mainly because his cumalative #s aren't that impressive for a variety of reasons. But in terms of actual talent, there weren't many better than Terry Glenn.
