TEs available for draft

I'm not too versed in the TEs in this draft, but this draft has been crazy so I could see one one of the top guys falling. If hes BPA then sure why not

While I agree, TE are notorious for taking time to develop so taking a TE @50 is not going to help right away.
Dallas Geodert is projected as a Zach Ertz, Travis Kelce type of TE.

Anyone we sign or draft will be playing this year so it may as well be a high ceiling guy.

We just can’t know what we have in Rico. Based on his lack of football experience and his year long concussion we need someone who can play right away.

There isn’t anything available in FA so this is all we have and Goedert is the best pass catching TE prospect to come out in a while.

We can’t just sit and settle. Not when we just lost a HOF TE and had another retire.

If he's like Zach Ertz why not take him?

I would like to see some trades to combine a combination of our remaining picks to move up higher in the draft for quality over quantity, especially after hearing the bombshell that was dropped on us this morning.

That is one of the toughest jobs to learn in the NFL, which is why it's hard to find complete TE's. Even Gronkowski commented that he had to work on his blocking to be considered close to Witten as "all around" TE.

Witten wasn't swift or a tackle breaker but he was as good as they come at recognition at the set point and when the play began knowing what to do to give his QB an outlet. He was the master at shielding the defender with his body and securing the ball.

I don't think you will find a TE playing today that hasn't looked at Witten as the guy to emulate, consummate team player, leader, support for players needing it, maxing out his talent and staying in the best shape possible, durability and a NFL Man of the Year. Those showing disrespect for him and what he's done for the Dallas Cowboys should be ashamed of themselves.

I would rather them explore a trade with a team for an experienced veteran TE that can step in right away. Might be surprised what a team might do for some picks.

I think they knew, which is why he was on stage with retired, hall of fame legends.
