I like Graham too. I have him at 5. I'll stick will BPA. I'll go by my board or trade down. It would be real interesting to be on the board at 4 and have Tet, Jeanty and Graham on the board with opportunity to trade down to 6.
Let me start by saying that I follow BPA, most of the time But sorry, I disagree in this instance.

This team rarely has the opportunity to draft a true difference maker for the defensive line. They can't pass up this chance for a skill position player. The WR classes have been running very deep the past several years and I don't see that changing this season. But true stud DT's and DE's are as rare as they come. They MUST take one when you have the chance, regardless of BPA. When you have players all graded in the top 10, you have to take the player that will make the MOST improvement on your team, even if he's not the highest ranked of the 10. A top flight DT or even DE will be far more beneficial than a good #2 WR. And we need a good #2 WR!

Dt and de is very deep in this draft. Receiver isn't deep this year.

Even if that is true, it wouldn't change my mind for one second.

"Deep" classes for DT's and DE's usually means that you can get "quality" players in rds 2-3. But you are not getting a "true stud" DT/DE that late. Typically they are all gone after about pick 15 or so. A "quality" DT/DE is decent, solid and can give you a potential starter who may be a good player for many years. But a good player will not change the dynamic of the defense. Only a monster will do that. That player has a much larger effect on the team as a whole.

Deep classes for WRs usually means you can get "quality" players in rds 2-5. One who is decent, solid and can give you a potential starter who may be a good player for many years. And again, we need a player like that on this team, at almost every position, but that player will not change the dynamic of the team as a whole.
I don't believe adding a "true stud" at any other position, will have near as much effect on this team, that adding a monster on the D-line will.

I can see both sides. I think adding TMac in the first and a DT in the 2nd would give you more overall value than Graham in the 1st and a WR in the 2nd.

The WR class falls off a cliff after the first 3ish guys. There are like 8ish DTs who I think can be above average players in NFL.

I might agree with that, but even though DT has been and is still a monster need for this team, a top flight DE may end up being the first pick. The value for DE is typically much higher than a DT, especially to JJ. And adding another monster pass rusher to pair with Parsons would be fantastic, especially if we lose D-Law. And they could still go back and take a DT in rd 2. But I doubt JJ would do that, as usual.

At this point, I'm hoping that they get the 2 spot and trade down to 4 or 5 and get Mason Graham from Michigan.

Do you really think he will go top 5? I would be shocked. Top 10 is pushing it IMHO.

I’d love another 11 from PSU…dude looks like another game wrecker to pair with Micah.

Tmac would be the BPA at that and would be a good option to help

Graham at DT
Carter at DE

4 four teams could fight for the top 2 QBs........Sanders and Ward
Giants.....desperate
Jets........desperate
Raiders..desperate
Browns.....maybe but I can see them waiting for the 2nd wave of QBs. Legit replacement for Watson
