This kid is the best rb prospect in this draft. He's a Murray clone minus the injury history and lack of ball secruity (just 4 fumbles lost in 3 seasons). He's big, powerful, and has an extra gear as evident by his 40.3 yard per touchdown this past year would indicate. He's clean off the field, and performed well against the biggest competition despite being keyed on, having a weak OL and no qb play to speak of.

If we can scoop this kid up in the 2nd our offense wouldn't skip a beat. I'd prefer a 21 explosive back to bringing back an injury plagued 27 year old Murray coming of of 400+ touches or a 30 year old AP who's missed a year of football.

love the guy a lot, esp if he's still around in the late 3rd or 4th round. He's good

No, he is not the best RB prospect.

His biggest question mark is yards after first contact. In almost all of his big play highlights he is basically untouched. That won't happen in the NFL.

Compare his ability to gain yards after contact to guys like Gurley and Yeldon.

He did have a foot injury and I think had surgery on it.

Did he run the forty? I show that he didn't run at the combine.

I'd be ok with him in the 4th. Maybe the 3rd if there's no impact players left.

As most of you know I live in Big Ten country and have seen this kid ALOT over the last few years. He can do it ALL and I wouldn't mind taking him in the 2nd if we can't re-sign Murray. (I do not believe he'll be there in the 3rd but I could be wrong)This kid can absolutely do anything and everything in our offense.

NFL's top rushers last year and where they were drafted:

Demarco Murray - 3rd round
Leveon Bell - 2nd round
Lesean McCoy - 2nd round
Marshawn Lynch - 1st round
Justin Forsett - 7th round
Arian Foster - undrafted
Eddie Lacy - 2nd Round
Jeremy Hill - 2nd Round
Frank Gore - 3rd Round
Lamar Miller 4th Round

Some people want Gordon or Gurley in first. This proves that would be a waste. BPA in the first and best rb available in rounds 2-3 and we will be fine.

Actually that doesn't prove anything.

No it was just info and an opinion on why a rb in the first would be a wasted pick. And why I think Coleman or another back the staff likes in round two or later wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Bob Sturm's review of the player...

Lots of good backs this year. It'd be a mistake to tie up too much in any veteran RB. if it's not a relative sweetheart deal, we should be taking a replacement back somewhere after the first round wherever one falls into our lap.
