Here is the video I mentioned a few weeks back. The above photo is from NFL.com.​

This was rather historic in many respects. Most of you may know a bit about this, but for those who don't, I'll provide some info.​

In 1962 there were two organizations in Dallas. Both the Dallas Cowboys, and the Dallas Texans. Since The Cowboys were the favored team in Dallas, the Texas were more or less run out of town. Where did they re-emerge? Well, they are now known as, the Kansas City Chiefs. And as everyone knows, the Houston Oilers are now the Titans.​

The irony of this event, is that the Texans are now known as the Houston Texans. So, these two teams share similar destinies.​

an additional irony is that the Houston Oilers, in becoming the Titans, took on a nickname of another original AFL team namely the New York Titans, who changed their name to the Jets, without even moving.
