Interestingly enough, no quotes from the fans.

Hmmmmmmmm.
Yeah but you should read the Chronicle NFL blog.. Funny stuff there. The fans are not enthused. And the Cowboys fans who post on there constantly make fun of him.

What's he got to prove? That he doesn't suck quite as bad as people think? The guy was a terrible #3 whose now being asked to be the full time starter. He's going to be burnt so bad this season his mother won't reconize him afterwards.

Eh, give him a break. He's a guy that works hard and feels he has something to prove. He's not feeling "spurned" by the Cowboys like Julius Jones is. I think he'll do quite well in Houston's Cover 2. He was pretty good under Zimmer who used the Cover 2, but like the article said, Wade played a lot of zone (mostly Cover 4) with the corners not named Newman playing off the receiver.

So I guess everyone we let go has something to prove. Yesterday it was Julius, today Reeves...

I'm expecting to hear an article from Miami tomorrow re: Fergie, Fasano and Ayodele trying to prove to us that we shouldn't have gotten rid of them. Then another when they sign Glenn.

Why don't I see articles about every other free agent or traded guy that left some other team wanting to prove something to them? Has Zach Thomas gone on a tirade saying "Screw you Parcells, I'll show you!!!"

Must be something to that Hatred saying.

I think that is pretty normal for most players to feel this way. Heck guys get upset when you pass them up in the draft and want to show that team they made a mistake. I don't begrudge Jones for feeling that way and I expect him to be highly motivated when Dallas faces Seattle.

Sorry I was a little grey in my response but that is where I was going with that.

We should be rooting for him to make the pro bowl. That can only help when compensatory picks are awarded.

Ummmmm dude....The Cowboys were 3rd in the league with 46 sacks last year and the Texans were 23rd with 31 sacks last year. How does that equate to a better pass rush???

And if Newman/Henry had been healthy, we may have had as many 60 sacks, why?

Of course-you need a good pass rush, period. However-the contrary is also true-you can have an outstanding pass rush, but if your secondary stinks, then it's only going to make it alot easier for QBs for to get rid of it quicker, why? B/c opposing receivers will be able to consistently get separation on these bad corners.

It was no surprise last year when Wade started playing alot of zone when Newman/Henry were limited. Even Parcells was handcuffed with the defensive playbook when Roy/Keith were our safeties.
