randle does need more snaps. but like ware needed more time off the field when he was here, it's hard to take some players off the field. they are just too impactful
but it needs to be done

DeMarco Murray is going to be so worn out by the bye. The Cowboys NEED to figure out a way to spell him. I don't think they trust Randle or Dunbar in pass pro, but Murray will be useless in December at this pace.

I really think Ryan Williams needs to be on the active roster.

People can bang on Clutts, but we have been very good at converting short yardage runs when he has been in there. Those 3rd and 1s are vital plays

I don't understand why people still hate on Clutts. He's been decent and like you said he's serving a specific role.

Escobar with 4 plays smh at that pick.

So, I take it we had 78 offensive snaps yesterday, to 59 on defense?

If Clutts is getting snaps on offense, I don't have a problem with him out there. I just don't think he gives us as much as a ST prospect to warrant a spot just for the 2-3 offensive snaps/game.

I think since we have been more of a run-first team this year, the big plans for Escobar in the passing game have yet to materialize. And he is still NFL deficient in blocking so it is usually Witten or Hanna in there.

When you change offensive philosophy more often than underwear these things happen. That said, I think he has a banged up shoulder also which is stunting his growth. It will take a while but I wouldn't put him in bust mode anytime soon. It's a wait and see IMO

Those 2 or 3 failed short yardage conversions often swing games. I trust the coaches on this one.

couldn't a blocking TE do the exact same thing?

Spencer had 23, how many did he have last week, did he get more this week. And how did he do. I don't recall hearing his name any during the game.

The downs swing games. The FB block? Not necessarily. If you cross-train a LB to handle those few plays, you free up another position you can use to squeeze another LB into the lineup. Or you can bring Williams up later in the year to see what he's really got if Murray won't take the offer you put on the table in the offseason. Or you buy that extra roster spot to bring Brent/Lawrence/Okoye onto the lineup without cutting one of the DLs you've already been relying on until you're sure you're actually upgrading.

Like I said, if the FB is getting meaningful offensive snaps, I'm ok with it, otherwise, it's a relatively expensive luxury on a team that's going to start needing roster spaces here in the next couple of weeks.

Hayden shouldnt play more than 25-30 snaps imo

20 at the most.

And I would take it a step further and de-activate him this week and instead go with Bishop and/or Coleman.

Also will be nice to get Lawrence back reduce the snap count to those that aren't playing well.

I see one more game this week that we need to ride Murray, then we can get Randle and Dunbar much more involved. Hopefully.
