Twitter: Texans HC DeMeco Ryans says Cowboys make it difficult to cover CeeDee Lamb

yeah, that's what I saw. When you combine that with how we moved Lamb around it was always going to be a matchup nightmare because they were also clouding GP with a guy 85% of the time. I give Dak credit because he still had to execute, and every QB can't make those same throws under pressure.
Yup.

Their DC is stubborn.

I blame their HC for allowing that Cover 4 to be called so much.

Dak has problems with 2 Man Press. Especially 1 man with a robber.

Given the pass rush the Texans had, it would have likely given them a better chance to win.

C.J. Stroud’s 3.25-second Time to Throw and massive 11.0-yard average depth of target mean he is hunting for the "home run" play on almost every single snap. Instead of taking a checkdown, hit-the-flat pass, or quick slant to pick up a simple four yards and keep the chains moving, he stands in the pocket waiting for deep routes to clear. He ranks 6th in passing yards, but he is tied for 1st in the NFL with zero interceptions
The Texans are running a modern system under offensive coordinator Nick Caley, which includes plenty of quick-game and checkdown options. However, Stroud is intentionally bypassing those easy, short answers on his progression reads because his aggressive instinct is to hold the ball and wait for the deep, home-run shots.
By turning his back on small-ball football, he is leaving his struggling offensive line exposed, leading directly to the massive sack numbers and drive-killing penalties that have buried Houston in an 0-4 hole.
But he's 3-3 in the playoffs. LOL.
