Nope, just stingy and hard headed. I gotta feeling that red-headed clapper has something to do with all this also.
I’m the opposite. I bet Garrett is frustrated. His *** is the one who is going to be on the hot seat if they suck again. Not the Jones’. Now he’s being sent into a year with nothing but rookies to save his ***. He’s probably pushed for it when he had security, but I bet he would love to have added a lot of big names this season if only to save his neck.

I'm debating on using it too but I kinda want to see what he's going to type next...
You’re an idiot. You’re ignorant. Must suck to be you. Cowboys are smart for doing this.

There, I just saved you some time. That’s all there is to him.

But then there was no reason to do it when they did. That cap space isn't needed until the Summer.

Unless there's something in Frederick's contract that said it had to be done now.
Who cares about Frederick's adjustment.

We are literally sitting on Scandrick and Hanna's contracts right now.

I guess we are holding out for the mega trade.

TMathieu......1/7m
MCrabtree........3/21m
SRichardson.......1/8m+
Preston Brown.....1/5m
Exactly, all would have been excellent up grades at a reasonable price. With Grabtree we could have released Dez and saved 5.5 million. Dak could have thrown to the open receiver, instead off the receiver covered like a blanket, screaming for the ball on ever play. Release Scandrick and sign the Honey Badger. Can you say 1 technique, Sheldon Richards. What are we waiting for? We weren’t Going to the Super Bowl with Garrett any way, but at least we could act like we’re trying to get there!!

I would keep and extend Dez and trade Beasley......draft a WR early

I would think even Stevie Wonder could acknowledge that Mathieu can play.

It is not like anyone is asking them to think that hard.

This just came down to being cheap.

They did not want to guarantee him money.

I'm talking about not only evaluating the free agents but their own roster and what they need.

Wow. I mean, at first glance, this one goes beyond missed opportunity. It’s flirting with the realm of complete ineptitude. We won’t know for certain until this time next year. But early returns are jaw-dropping.

I almost want to believe they didn’t know he was available. There must be some under reported issue, such as health, of which we are unaware.

1 year/7 million

Absolute steal in a prove it to us year. What the hell is this franchise doing!!!!!

Seriously, this team is literally not even trying....................you cant tell me that we cant afford a 1 yr, $7 mill contract for one of the best safeties in the entire NFL.

This team deserves to lose..............hate to say it, but its true..........when you don't even try to improve, you deserve to get your teeth kicked in.

That said. Who’s to say we didn’t offer that only to be told were a disaster and not a winning franchise?

I’m mad about this one

Lets see which way the homers spin this, which is actually better?

A. The team is cheap as hell and is not even trying to improve.

OR

B. Any legit free agent we go after laughs in our face and says "no way in hell am I playing for a loser franchise like yours".

Which is better homers? Lets hear it.

Do you know why I'm not sad Jennifer Lawrence is not in my bed right now?
Because I know there's a zero percent chance Jennifer Lawrence will ever end up in my bed.

Do you see the analogy here?

For comparison, we spent over 8MM last year for three bums in Carroll, Moore and Paea.

But this year we couldn’t come up with 7MM to sign a legit S.

The Jones’ are pretty much clueless.

This is what I have been SCREAMING!!!!!

Why sign 3 scrubs when you can combine that and sign a legit stud free agent that will improve your team from day 1?

Please, will somebody explain to me why the Cowboy's strategy is better?

Lol. Scheme fit?

Although that would be typical. Stephen goes to Marinelli and says we can get a great safety for 7MM. Rod tells him he don’t need no stinking safety.

Please tell me our front office really doesn't think the Honey Badger is not a good scheme fit:facepalm:

My God, the ineptness of this franchise is just staggering. I seriously didn't know a team could be this clueless on how to build a roster.

I am not one to rue missing out on these particular FA's but the Honeybadger at 7mill for one season seems like a no-brainer considering who is back there now

I understand that most of these guys are getting ridiculous contracts but this isn't one of them.
