Texans slot CB Aaron Colvin will be sidelined indefinitely with a "severe" ankle injury.

Speaking Monday, coach Bill O'Brien said Colvin "could" play again this season. It certainly sounds like Colvin is headed to injured reserve, perhaps with an eye toward returning. Colvin has been having a dreadful year, but the Texans' cornerback corps could not afford to get any thinner. Now it has.

It's never good when any player is out, hope he recovers. But, the o-line, really needs to be on-point in this game with Clowney and JJ Watt on the edges. If we can manage these guys successfully, it will set us up positively for the remainder of the season. They may not be what they once were, but still a strong dual-threat.

I'm more concerned about Watt, Clowney and Mercilus!!! I hope our coaches have a plan for Dak to help him with these guys!!!

Forgive me but i'm looking past the Texans a bit.

I don't think this is a gimme win by any means. Especially with this 2018 Dallas Cowboys team...

BUT....

In 2014 and 2016 we had those big spring board games that really changed the season.

2014 it was Seattle.

2016 it was Green Bay / Pittsburgh.

Well in 2 weeks we play Jacksonville and that's a team everyone thinks is good and they play the Chiefs this week and I hope they win and we win.

Here's hoping we go into this game with the same level of aggression that our offense displayed against the Lions. It seemed to suit our offense well. Hopefully, it might tend to produce the same effect that it did last Sunday, when the OL and the receiving corps responded so favorably to it. I'm sure the Texans will be plenty pumped up to play us, as always. I'm sure we'll be obliged to match their intensity and respond with equal energy or more.

That should be the game plan. The key is going to be to neutralize the Texans' Dline and Watson. If we do that, I think we prevail that game. We can't let Watt get the upperhand on our Dline though, and Dak MUST get rid of the ball quickly. This is NOT a game for him to hold the ball. The Texans are very good at going for the loose ball, and you can bet that they want every bit of us considering that 1, we're an instate team and 2, we've beaten them 3 times in a row in the regular season. Thus, if it's not there after the first 3 seconds, Dak MUST get rid of the ball. Any longer than that, and you're playing right into the Texans' hands.
