I don't care for the stripes, but they aren't half as bad as some of the others that are out. And there is no black uni... yay for that at least.

lol the only thing I ever liked about a&m was the stripes on the shoulders back in the day. I thought they got rid of them so the numbers could be on the shoulder for TV purposes.

It just struck me that TX A&M is going to look a lot like Miss State in the SEC

Is that why they made some adjustments?

Is the middle one just an undershirt?
Yes just a performance shirt.

Yeah, they aren't bad at all. Really not even that different from what they had. They had the white hat from time to time starting, what, a couple years ago? And the stripes on the shoulders are sort of a shout out to their older unis without being too crazy.

But then it looks like they're with Adidas, not Nike. I like what Adidas did with Michigan and Notre Dame's throwbacks. Much better than Nike's outrageousness. ;)

And just to add... I just googled this to see what others were saying, and I saw where Vanderbilt and Arkansas came out with new ones, too. The Arkansas ones are just an embarrassment. Awful. They already change unis every other year, it seems like, but these are particularly bad. I just don't understand why these schools allow themselves to be talked into tricking up classic uniforms. I know people say the recruits like it, but when everyone does it, it loses its appeal. And you can use some different color combinations without making the players look like clowns. /rant

MSU uses a much darker shade of maroon than A&M does. A&M maroon is almost red by comparison.

Yeah I just pulled up about 20 photos of each and it does appear there is a slight shade darker uni in Starkville. At most.:)
But if you're a fan of either school I can see where any other uni would be far different.

MSU and Ole Miss will be pretty poor according to most people and neither is expected to make a bowl. A&M will likely struggle in their first year in the SEC but we should beat those two teams.

this is a change for a&m football, instead of "wait till next year" it's "wait till the year after next". :D

Most sites have Ags 5th in SEC West and MissSt 6th.

Ole Miss should be pretty bad but I think Miss St is right there with the Aggies.
new QB, new system... should be a tough transition to the SEC.

The recruiting has been phenomenal though so if you can win with whatever offense Sumlin/Kingsbury puts out there you'll be much better in a couple years.

The thing about the SEC is that pretty much all of the teams are tough, even the bad teams.

Last year Vanderbilt and Ole Miss took Arkansas down the wire for close games.

Keep in mind A&M only lost by 3 last season to Arkansas as well.

You never know how things will work out.

the bad teams in the SEC suck just like the bad teams in every conference.
