McGee Wants To Be A Cowboy

Texas A&M quarterback Stephen McGee is expected to be a late-round pick.
And so was Tom Brady.

McGee appeared on Sporting News Radio’s The Monty Show earlier today, and he said that he would like to play for the Cowboys.

He also will be visiting the Raiders and the Broncos. But his heart apparently is in Big D.

“It’s a huge deal for me,” McGee said. “Next week will be a pretty big week for me getting to to Oakland, then Dallas and Denver.

I’ve got a pretty full week, but that Dallas visit will be huge for me because growing up here in Texas I had Troy Aikman and so forth on my wall for a long time now.

I’m so excited to be one of the guys to go on the visit and if I have the opportunity to play in Dallas I know that I would be thrilled and honored.”

I think there are few late-round QB's in this draft with the potential to be better than McGee but no QB in this draft is tougher than this kid.

Personally, I think this kid has all the traits needed to develop into an NFL starter.

I also heard the interview he did with Galloway and Co.

This is 'my guy' for this draft and I think he'd make a great backup/developmental guy.

I'm just worried that he's rising too high up on draft charts.

I think Hunter Cantwell (Louisville) and Tom Brandstater (Fresno State) will develop into solid NFL QB's. I'd rank McGee behind them. I also like Chase Holbrook (New Mexico State) and Chase Patton (Missouri) as project/developmental QB's.

I like it when players come out and say they'd like to be Cowboys. It always bugs me when top prospects say they're fans of players and not teams in order to avoid irritating fans from teams with high picks.

Everyone of those guys is a huge project and hardly a sure thing to even make an NFL roster. I dont see where any of them rank as better prospects than McGee. To me they are all about the same.

This is a horrible QB draft, not drafting one at all isnt that far fetched to me.
