Texas Fight! Texas Fight!

Spoken like an Aggie homer... your hyperbole is quite amusing, but bears little resemblance to reality...

The truth is, the Horns rank 48th in total offense in the NCAA, out of 120 teams... so they're not even close the worst offense this year, let alone "one of the worst offenses in the modern era of college football"... in fact, they're averaging over 400 yards per game this season...

I can only assume that your rage at losing to the Horns in the final game of this bitterly fought series led to wildly exaggerate the state of the Horns' offense... mind you, I'm not happy with the offense either, but it's nowhere near as bad as you're suggesting...

Enjoy being a doormat in the SEC... couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of Aggies... :D
He does that, he also called the Baylor offense, ranked second in the nation, a "sea of crap" apart from RG3.:D never mind the Big 12's second leading rusher, never mind a first round prospect widout and two other speedsters getting acclaim, nevermind a Stanford transfer at tightend, nevermind one of the biggest o-lines in college.

So forgive his divorce from reality.:) ;)

Good to see Texas send the Aggie off to the SEC in this fashion. :laugh2:

I was told by an Aggie fan Texas would do no better than 5 wins guess he was talking about the over hyped Aggies.:laugh2:

The Longhorns saving grace is the traditionally weak Big XII defenses. If you take their offensive numbers from their games against A&M, KSU, Mizzu, OSU and OU the Longhorns are averaging 275 yards per game

Against A&M, Texas had two drives of more than 23 yards, the trick play TD after the muffed punt and the final drive which covered just over 40 yards. The Longhorns had nine three and outs. For reference, the Big XII record for a game is 12. Texas leads the nation in three and outs among BCS conference schools this season and only a select few schools average fewer yards per play.

Against decent competition, Texas' offense is miserable because they don't have a true QB. Texas scored 20 offensive points against A&M, only 10 of which involved them having to get a single first down and only three of which involved them driving from the other side of midfield. And even with Texas unable to do anything, we still lost to them because we couldnt get out of our way, and that falls on coaching.

Baylor has two future NFL contributers on offense. If you're going to sit here and argue guys like Terrance Williams and Terrance Ganaway will one day star at the next level then there's no point in me arguing otherwise.

True Texas has 2 young QB who are struggling this season however they have a top ranked defense that allowed them to stay in the game and made big plays to win the games along with the Longhorns special teams. Great thing for Texas this is a very young team with most of the starter Freshmen and Sophomores

Texas has a very good defense and Manny Diaz will be a head coach somewhere very soon. Until Texas gets a solid QB, their offense will continue to be poor however. Texas also has a surprisingly weak offensive line given the level of talent recruited at that position.

These are young kids Ash is a freshmen and believe he can develop into a very good QB. OL for Texas again the makeup is quite young with 2 starting freshmen and 2 Sophomores. I think thing are good for Texas in the future. They will get in a bowl game and these youngsters will improve as they gain experience.

Well does not say much about his aggies. He has hammered Texas from the get go of the season and that is too be expected from an Aggie fan

Right, so now NFL starting prospects is the gauge of a high powered collegiate offense:rolleyes:

How many Aggies are going to start in the NFL from the 2011 offense again?

Eventually, probably six. Gray, Michael, Fuller, Joeckal, Matthews and Lewis are all going to be picked in the first three rounds over the next two years. Swope may not start but he will likely be a slot receiver eventually on an NFL roster. Tannehill will get drafted but probably never be more than career backup like McGee is.

Fuller will probably start for some team at some point in his career.

Tannehill's stock has dropped. I don't understand why some had him graded so high(I saw 1st round before this season started) to begin with, but they did. Anyway even though his stock is down, I think he will be in the NFL and could start a few games. I still think he is a good project QB. He is greatly lacking experience and could benefit from sitting on a bench for a couple of years.

Both A&M running backs will start games in the NFL.

A couple of A&M offensive linemen will be starting in the NFL at some point. They still have some college ball yet to play, but they will get drafted.

A&M's talent is not the issue. Sherman screwed up a top 10 caliber team.

Yes, so did Slocum and Franchione, always the coaches fault, not the hyped up recruiting classes.

I agree. I thought he was a bad hire and he has only proved that opinion.

I await those Leeland McElroy and Sirr Parker follow ups to do wonders.

Slocum absolutely did, which is why he was fired. The 1999 and 2001 teams had a ton of players make NFL rosters, yet both teams lost at least four games. Fran was fired because he never even put together a high caliber team talent wise.

If A&M only had a good recruiting class every now and then you'd have a point. The fact is though that A&M has a top 20 recruiting class almost every year, and a top 10 class about once every five years. Not all of those classes can be overhyped, we just have coaches who don't utilize them to their strengths. There are 50+ CFB coaches who could have won 9 games with this year's A&m squad. A guy like Bob Stopps probably wins the conference with them, and yet we went 6-6. Coaching, no other way around it. Terrible, awful, good old boy network coaching.

You'd stab your own grandmother in the back for A&M's backs or offensive line. With the players on our line, Baylor's one offensive weakness would be a strength.

Talking about a physical freak like Michael in the same breath as Sirr Parker is just asinine. Leeland McElroy didnt succeed in the NFL because of off the field issues.
