Texas helped OKC, now Oklahoma is helping Dallas

As some of you know, I live in OKC, and I'm a huge Cowboys/Thunder/Sooners fan (in that order). All us Okies are really appreciative of you guys in Texas sending Kevin Durant up our way, so we decided to return the favor. Of course, KD is a once in a lifer, so we had to send a package to even things out. So in exchange for KD, Oklahoma sent some troops down to Texas: DeMarco Murray, Dez Bryant, Dan Bailey, James Hanna and Orie Lemon.

For real, I'm loving these Oklahoma college stars turned Cowboys. Murray looks like the best RB we've had since Emmitt. Dez is a superstar in the making. Bailey is our best kicker since Rafael Septien (look him up, kiddos). Hanna looks like he could become a nice little weapon. And I think that Lemon will be called up to the varsity before the season is done (because of performance, hopefully not because of injury).

Yeah, me too. I really think Broyles is gonna be a great player. He's the all-time leader in NCAA receptions, and that's with missing most of his senior year. What a stud. Lewis too. Two of my favorites.

Durant is understandable, but you really wouldn't trade Westbrook for Kobe? I know Kobe is old as hell, but he's still an elite player. Him and Durant would be awesome together. Westbrook is a good player, but even at age 34 Kobe is a far better and smarter player.

I really wouldn't. I agree that Kobe is still a better player than Westbrook, and I think that Kobe's still an elite player. But no way would I trade them. Kobe is still 34. He's only got a couple good years left in him. Russ is 11 years younger. For a team like the Thunder that's built to compete for the next decade, I take Russ for sure.
