hard to give an opinion since my streaming only seem to work during commercials.

Eh...They are winning but I was hoping they would look a lot more impressive.

Yeah. I don't think it's going to be a great season. Another repeat of last season I'm afraid. And we gave up 173yds to a receiver....on the Cowboys :banghead:

Guys we won by 20 points what more do you want? A receiver had some good numbers so what? We still won the damn game and that's all that matters.

We won by 20, but we didn't play all that great.

On the first TD for Wyoming, we missed the tackle cause our help defender knocked away the defender who was holding onto the WR.

We missed a FG and had an extra point blocked.

We had a bad snap that led to a fumble and turnover.

Ash was a little off on some of his throws.....He threw high on the TD to Shipley, thankfully Jax made a great grab. Then he threw short on the two deep passes. Both of which, he needed to get more air under the ball. However, despite a few bad throws, he played a very smart game. If he continues to play this way all season, I like our chances.

I don't like how the defense wilted after the bogus late hit out of bounds call, that turned a 4th down into a 1st down for Wyoming.

Davis had a few drops.

I expected more from Gray, and got basically nothing.

So yes, we won by 20, but make no mistake about it, if we play the way we did tonight against the top teams in the Big 12, we will get our jocks handed to us on a silver platter.

I posted last week my main concerns
"Espinosa has to be stronger in the middle and still major question marks at receiver, tight end is almost hopeless from the practice reports I've seen. Ash is going to have a tough time just being solid if these issues aren't taken care of."

I see that Davis was dropping passes again, no surprise there but how did Espinosa and the tight end look?

The TEs looked good, they caught a few passes. They seemed to do a nice job of blocking.

BTW, I want Vaccaro in Dallas next year. He is a flat out stud in the secondary.

Of the 3 first round prospects we have, Vaccaro, Okafor, and Jeffcoat....Kenny played the best by far. Okafor had a solid game. Jeffcoat didn't really stand out at all, though he was close on a few sacks and TOLs.

Which pass did Davis drop? I know the end zone one was all on Shipley. I thought Mike played well.

Not a bad start. D needs to tighten up. Ash needs to go downfield more, and more accurately, but I was not unhappy with that performance for a game one. RB is one heck of a stacked position.

Vaccaro is something else.

45-0. Not bad.

could have been 48-0....stupid kicker.

As it is, Texas scored on 7 of their 10 possessions (1 missed FG, 1 punt, 1 kneel down to kill final 20 or so seconds). That is very impressive, no matter your opponent.

So now they have a tough test....going to Ole Miss is no easy chore. I would like to see them run the ball more. Don't try to force the pass too much. Let the passing game come within the flow of the offense. Ride our 5-6 RBs throughout the game.

what happened to Brown? 2 carries? I still have no faith in this team yet. I believe they would have averaged about 3 yards a carry without Ash's long scramble.

they are still trying to be cute on offense. I just want a power I, with a TE and 2 WRs.

Or go the Split I and have Brown/Berg/Gray and Monroe/Daje/Hills in the backfield.

we have Ole Miss, Okie State and OU coming up and the best thing we can say about our QB is he's a better option than Case McCoy and our Oline still looks like they would struggle to bench press a feather. 2-3 after 5 games would not surprise me in the least.

Whats up with Johnathan Gray? Not getting many carries yet.

Are you really surprised? Mack Brown has proven year after year that he is reluctant to use freshman players early in the season. They usually only get playing time if there is no other option. Typically the big name freshman don't get significant playing time or become starters until a week after losing to OU.

Ok we've won both games by an average of over 30 ppg and people are complaining?
some of us pay attention to more than the final score.

Your just finding things to complain about. It's just like with the Cowboys. No one can ever be happy. Cowboys beat the Giants on the road people complain. Longhorns win both games they've played by 20 + points and you complain.
