Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ Joints 2025

A friend's brother owns GW. He was a great football player, big guy. Injuries in college stopped that. He became a police off5for several years and cooked for fun. Decided to open a restaurant a couple of years ago and he's already on the list. He was on the TV show Texas Bucket List, yesterday. Gonna have to go check it out, soon.
My brother in law, retired as GM for Chili's and opend one up, Meats and Sweets in Lyford, Texas. Just about 2 years now and he's been on Texas Monthly, twice.
Congrats to your buddy's brother, Top 5 is a big deal. I figure any of the Top 10, especially Top 5 could make a case for that Top spot. Go have a slice of brisket and a cold one there for me!

I’m a bit disappointed there hasn’t been a single mention of Cooper’s in Llano. Love going out there. Also loved Inman’s in Marble Falls, but I think it’s changed hands. Not sure if it’s still the same anymore.
I haven't been to Cooper's in Llano in a real long time, at least 15-20 years. Cooper's is one of the those Old School joints and not many of those made the list, there's just a lot of newer places making great BBQ.
