How can you run a zone read offense with a QB that can't run? Charles made him look good today just like VY always did. Good thing we were playing a crappy team. I thought for a while we were going to save another coaches job.

Seems the OC is trying to force him into being a VY.


Luckily the Huskers were going all out blitz almost every play (or at least faking an all out blitz) and that made it easy to break the long runs after getting past the line of scrimmage.


Charles can make big plays but he fumbles too much for my liking. He's not real tough inside either, but he's get tremendous speed.

I didn't "Bail" on anything, Genius. I made a post at the beginning of the third quarter regarding their play and I was absolutely right at that point.

Jamaal Charles was ratha large there in that 4th quarter, wouldn't you say??

Another RB who has had a succession of good efforts these last five weeks is Marcus Thomas from UTEP... he's been over 100 yards in all 5 games, over 200 yards once... has has 123 carries for 727 yards (5.9 yards per carry), for 9 TDs... he's added 4 receptions for 67 yards and another TD receiving, so for those 5 games he's averaged 138.8 yards per game...

They should put him at FB and run the I like you said. They have a good TE too, they should be utilizing him more.

Henry Melton. He always ran small for his size. Tip toed into the line and tried to avoid defenders. He could not be a full back with that mentality. He was switched to defensive end. I don't think that mentality will help him much on that side of the ball, either.
