Hello everyone how are you doing?
I was recently accepted to the University of North Texas Class of 2017 and this is where I want to and almost definitely will go. All that begins now is the stressful part of adjusting to Texas Residency. If you could take a moment and answer it would be extremely helpful. Thanks in advance.
First worry is buying a car and getting it all registered and ready to go within about a week is what we are hoping. We will be most likely flying down a week before myself actually moving in on campus and we hope to buy a used car in Texas. How long do you think this process will take? Everything that is involved in buying my first car, such as registering, insurance, ect.
Second, I will need to have my New York State Driver License change into a Texas license. Do I have to take the driving test and do everything over, or can I just switch my NY one with a TX license?
Lastly, is there anything else I really need to do to become a full Texas resident? It's a very stressful time and I want to get all of the residential issues done with before actually moving into the dorms. You help is very much appreciated!!!!
