Texas Stadium End Zone

Howdy folks,

Back in 2008 Jerry Jones sold one of the Texas Stadium end zone's turf for $500,000 plus some other perks with it.

Does anybody know who purchased it or where it is now?

at the risk of replying with what may be perceived as an opinion but it's really a guess, I do see that you can buy a swatch of old Texas Stadium turf from Steiner Sports. I'm guessing it's them! Pretty neat collectible IMHO!

I think you are mistaken about the sale of the turf. I know they were selling pieces of it at memorabilia, but $500,0000 is enough money to buy new turf for a college stadium

I know a buddy of mine bought some of the turf.. not sure how much he bought be he has a 250k cowboys collection. Has all kinds of stuff like Staubach's old locker, one of Landry's hats, turf, etc. Just tons and tons of stuff. Truly insane.

And somebody bought it. I'm trying to find out who or at least a lead as to who the successful bidder was.

I've looked everywhere online and can't find anything. Maybe I'll contact Nieman Marcus in the event it's not a confidential situation.

Curious where it ended up and curious what they consider the price to be today

Whenever Jerry replaced that turf from the very original 1st turf at Texas Stadium. I bought a star shaped piece, maybe 5 inches for $29.95, with certification.
Can't remember what year that was, maybe early 90's.
