If you look closely in that picture, you can see a different version of the traditional Texas Stadium logo, for it doesn't have any red in the logo.

How long did that version last?

Just wondering.

That's the texas Stadium logo, in the picture (it's painted on the field) if you look closely it appears there is no red lettering for "Texas". I assume he means when did they start using the current logo. Which I have no idea about.

BTW, that's a terrible picture it's too far away to tell much of anything from the logo.

How long ago was that picture taken that you just posted? Look at the helmet in the endzone. The facemask is old, and not the helmet that is in the endzone that we see now.

That's the old turf that preceded the current Field Turf (I think that is the name) that we have now. It has that stupid darker colored patch that they put in on the left side of the field at about the far 30 yard line. I was always amazed that they kept that turf for several years after they put in the patch. Period is from early to mid '90s to about 2000.

I'm estimating that was 1994-1995. I don't remember the logos being there in 1992 or 1993, can't remember 1994. I think it may be 1995. Look at that worn out rug, man that was ghetto! I loved that big patch at the 40 yard line!! I always thought that was so trashy looking.

Just look at the playing field. It's astro turf. Not the new synthetic grass. Plus the star in the middle of the field as well as the endzone paint scheme is dark blue, and not the royal blue that you see now.
