***Texas vs Patriots game thread***

Was that a hurry up to catch a team off guard...
That's fun to watch.
It certainly shows when a team has a feel for the flow of the game in real time. Catch them on their heels, speed it up to prevent proper substitutions, and off you go.

The Pats are not doing anything anyone hasn't seen in the NFL.

Because they use basic personnel sets 12, 21, 22 the other team is wasting a whole lot of time with substituitions while NE goes hurry-up. The rules only allow for time given to the other team to sub-in if the offense subs players.

In the example of the goal line play, the Texans were busy trying to get their goal line package in and the Patriots kept the same personnel in from the last play and went hurry up to snap the ball.

It's a great way to score easy points but it takes a lot of good execution from the players to do this.

How come Brady is letting the clock run down to 1 second on back to back plays....doesn't he know the defense will get a jump on him?

:laugh2: Of course this comment gets ignored.

Hannah would be a force with the Pats, they wont waste speed like that at TE;here Garrett barely plays him.

Well I admit I wasnt paying attention to the clock early but he has gone away from it. I have since seen him let it go down to 1, 14and hurry up on the TD.

God I hate the Pats. Their offensive line is just stellar.

as soon as they show wades regular season defensive ratings. pats start raping him.

man cant do crap in the playoffs in 40 years.

and then of course quick 12 yards given back on a screen...typical wade defense.

Am I shocked that the Pats are targeting Bradie James?

Not at all.

Can't believe it took Lee/Carter for some to see how pedestrian James was/is.

Has a coach ever been more obsessed with stats and rankings than Wade Phillips?

Just something to note for the next FG.

When it's the Texans kicking, the jumbotron located behind the goalposts will show something crazy like a shaky camera.

When it's the Patriots kicking, the jumbotron will be a solid screen.

or a linebacker get a receiver like that in the open field? dear lord these guys are good
