Good to see that leaving the conference still leaves Aggies with ginormous ***** envy.

Also, Verizon fios isn't a "WHO????" type of carrier.

Envy? I was able to watch TAMU play up here in Washington while my UT buddy couldn't get the Horn game. I love the rivalry when we play but I don't care about who has how much of whatever trophy. The Aggies are better than some and worse than others, just like the Horns are better than some and worse than others. All I want is to enjoy watching my team and I hope whatever move the Aggies make will increase my ability to do so. I selfishly want them to join the PAC-12 but I doubt that will happen.

As for Verizon, they have access to 15 million homes and carry less than 4 million subscribers. They are still a "Who?" type of carrier when it comes to television.

I got to see the game on Saturday.....thanks to Grande making a deal with the Longhorn Network. TY Grande for that wonderful birthday present.

The Big 12 and the Big East are undefeated after the first weekend of play. UTSA won their first ever game. Judson is 2-0. The only downers were the Radway injury and Dallas still has no kicker. BTW, I don't care about the Big East, but I have been a Syracuse fan since I was a kid...started with basketball, then transferred to other sports. Still, Texas is my team and what ever conference they are in, will be my favorite.

I am doubtful it can happen, but I would love for the Big 12 to go undefeated in non-conference play. If it did happen, look for teams like OSU, A&M, Texas, Texas Tech, and even Baylor to ascend in the rankings.

Ideally for me, I would like an undefeated Texas to play an undefeated Oklahoma and see how it goes from there.

There is no reason why this conference should be dying, IMO it's still the second best football conference in the country, and that's without Nebraska a mediocre Texas team! It's a shame, I hope they can work it out, and from what I hear the state government might not let A&M leave after all because of the new OU/UT/PACwhatever rumors

The Longhorns, especially the offense, showed vast improvement in the second half. They relied on a power running, play action-oriented attack -- the type of offense in which Gilbert is most likely to succeed.

If they can run the ball and force safeties to come up near the LOS, Garrett can make use of his best asset, a cannon arm.

I think that is the type of offense Mac wants to run. Strong running game and play action. I think Gilbert will take some abuse from fans but if he can help this team win games people will back off.
