love how a coach is always wrong if you disagree with him
but always right if you agree
no one here is really qualified in any way in experience or more importantly knowledge of the entire situation
So basically coaches are always right, even if they are playing an inferior player.

Got it.

I can't find the thread, but several months ago, a fellow poster argued with me that Quinn Ewers was the best QB in college football and how he would be the 1st QB taken in next year's draft. I told him he was badly confused and how Ewers was a big part of the problem due to his sidearm throwing motion and inability to run with the football. I also mentioned how Sarkisian was as much to blame for siding with the very limited Ewers over the dual threat weapon he had on the bench in Arch Manning and how it would come back to haunt the Longhorns this seasoj, especially in big games.

Well, I can't remember which poster it was, but if he reads this comment, it would be nice if he came out and admitted he was wrong all of this time.

Sarkisian is a fool. Any other head coach would not hesitate to start his best weapon over a limited one. If I were the Texas A.D., I would seriously consider looking into replacing Sarkisian because Sark is not going to change in his thinking.

I can understand sticking with the vet as long as you are winning; but Ewers was INJURED. Even if you feel Manning is not ready for starting, especially in the big games, you have to take a chance. Sark blew it.
Now of course Manning might have thrown four picks as well but Ewers was a sitting duck

Agreed. Common sense.

Ewers sidearm throwing motion, plus his inability to run with the football, are major issues. Another reason why Sarkisian should have played Manning much more throughout the season. It's too late now. The playoffs are already here and it's too late to give Manning any playing experience. It will be interesting to see which QB Sarkisian decides to start in the playoffs vs Clemson. That decision might make or break Sark.

High Ankle sprains can take a month or more to really heal. You cannot play Ewers if he is not better than he was last night.
IF he insists on it and they lose, Sark will really be on the hot seat. Texas alumni and big donors are sick and tired of waiting for another NC and have a short fuse

Do you think it’s Sarks decision to keep Ewers in there to finish? I have my doubts. I think there is an understanding that Ewers stays in….good or bad from the AD and the boosters.

Yes, the decision to keep/force Ewers on the field might be coming from the AD and boosters.
