TFY: Sylvester Williams Looks Like the Pick for the Dallas Cowboys

- Right now insiders believe Sylvester Williams/DT/North Carolina looks like the pick for the Dallas Cowboys in round one. This assumes Kenny Vaccaro does not slide to the 18th pick of the draft as the Cowboys are very high on the Texas safety. Right now I’m told Vaccaro could end up with the New Orleans Saints, who own the 15th selection.

Sly Williams would not be a reach. But let's not pretend anyone on the planet knows exactly how that 1st round will.
It's just a guess.

I liked what they said about Miami going DE, or maybe CB, if they signing Brandon Albert.
Push those olineman down if any are left

Half the mocks on the internet have Williams going to Dallas, so this is not exactly going out on a limb here with this prediction.

I would be fine with Williams. He has pretty good quickness for his size and shows ability to rush the passer. Also played through a bad ankle last season. Would be a good fit in Monte's 4-3.

I think right now the smart money is saying that Dallas either takes one of the Guards (Cooper first, then Womack second), and if both Guards are gone then Dallas takes one of the two stud DTs (Richardson or Williams).

If all 4 of these guys are gone, probably Vaccaro is the pick. If all 4 of these guys and Vaccaro are gone..........who knows, maybe Tavon Austin or the Notre Dame TE at that point if they cant find a trade down partner.

Obviously nobody can say with 100% certainty but you can make some assumptions and provided they fall in line like you think they will you can project a guy.

I don't think anyone is claiming that Dallas is working out a contract with the guy right now.

The problem I got with Vaccaro is the 5 picks in 4 seasons at Texas. At pick 18, I want a ball hawk safety and Vaccaro aint it.

Yea, that's a little older than what I normally would like with my 1st round pick. However, on a positive note this means they are more experienced.

We're still over a day away NO ONE knows who our pick is going to be PERIOD. I like Sly and would be happy to see us add him to our team but we all know teams make ******** picks in the top 20 on guys who they could've got a little later. If Geno & Nassib go before us a top tier talent will fall to us.

How is this any different than any other year. It's impossible to guess what 17 other teams will do. Nothing new

Nflnetwork is doing a mock and Michael Irvin took Eric Reid over Stanley Richardson and said that he wanted Vacarro. Talk about tunnel vision.
