UPDATE 2:30 PM – TE workout notes.

- Miami’s Jimmy Graham has continued to impress. The former basketball player was fluid and caught the ball extremely well. He also ran solid routes.

- Pitt’s Dorin Dickerson showed a lot of speed, quickness, and the ability to be a deep threat.

- Wisconsin’s Garrett Graham and BYU’s Dennis Pitta caught the ball particularly well.

- Coming off of injury, Jermaine Gresham was solid but not spectacular. He let some balls slip through his hands and lacks get up and go speed. As an aside, he is physically imposing and athletic looking.

Sam Bradford, QB Oklahoma

- Medicals went well for the highly ranked prospect, “…no one found anything they didn’t expect to find.” The injury itself was a grade three separation of the AC joint. After re-injuring the shoulder doctors did recommend surgery to help his long term health of the appendage.

- Currently, Bradford is throwing every other day, while making over 100 passes each of those days. The throws do consist of a series of passes within the 20 to 40 yard range with some velocity.

- Teams have been testing the strength of the joint and his range of motion.

- Returning to school was a result of be considered “too small” physically, while Bradford felt he needed to mature. Yesterday, the quarterback tipped the scales 236 pounds.

- Oklahoma’s system has not been an issue with teams as the top signal caller looks to transition to the NFL. In fact, his first drops each day of practice were from under center. Bradford used his freshman year as an example where he was under center much more often in a traditional set.

- March 25th will be his personal pro day.

Jimmy Clausen, QB Notre Dame

- Clausen played through his injury during the season, but when doctors took a look at his toe after the games ended; they found two sesamoid bones had seperated from the tendons and required surgery. Two pins were inserted into the foot at that time.

- The quarterback has already had discussions with the Washington Commanders and the Buffalo Bills.

- Issues of leadership and maturity become the predominant line of questioning by the media. To which Clausen responded, “I believe I have grown tremendously while at Notre Dame.” He believed he has proven his leadership by playing through injuries, helping his team come back in games, while spending extra time with his teammates. For example, last summer Clausen invited his teammates to his family home in California. Also, he always rounded up his receivers spending extra time in the film room. “People question my leadership because they don’t know me as a person.”

- On his decision to choose Notre Dame over USC, “I felt it was best to replicate being a big time NFL rookie.”

- Clausen’s individual pro day is scheduled for April 9th.
