I have plenty of european friends who say the same, and there is really no response to it other than this is the usa, so we like american football.
As for the pats, really we don't have to worry about them til if we make the superbowl. We can talk about them all we want, but they aren't really an issue for the boys right now. Get to the bowl, then talk about the upset of the century.

Football(NFL) and Football ("soccer") are 2 completely different games. They are both good in their own way. Just need the US of A to become a big contender for people to begin appreciating football or as you call it "soccer".

Who cares which one is better? No one is keeping score. I personally love futbol and football, and you can too. They each have there own complexities and excitement, if you enjoy it, then there is nothing wrong with it. I personally love soccer and I follow the european game almost as closely as I follow my Boys.
