After last season's historically bad defense, my hope was that they would improve enough to be an average defense. I didn't think expectations higher than that were realistic. Man, have they ever exceeded my expectations. This is a championship-level defense.
The offense, on the other hand, scored a measly 3 points in the second half. Then that pick 6 totally got Washington back into the game. I was not at all happy. Dak made a boneheaded play. She was rolling out with some room to run. He should have just took off running, making sure to stay in bounds, and then just slid before getting hit.
I've been wanting a defense that can bail out an offense that makes a dumb mistake. Well, we've got one. Now this offense, especially Dak, have got some work to do. They looked unstoppable in the first 6 games of the season. What is up with Dak? Is he shell shocked?
