Greetings from DC, all!

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for all the expressions of well wishes and sympathy concerning Sean Taylor's murder. I was more stunned than anything else when I heard he had passed. But, seeing the outpouring of sympathy from Eagles, Giants and Cowboys fans brought tears to my eyes. It just goes to show that, while we cheer for different teams, we are all a part of the football-fan family. It really meant a LOT to see those expressions.

I thank you and I salute you for your class during this difficult time. God bless you all.

You could have wished us luck tonight. For crying out loud can you Commander fans do anything right?

Sorry - just getting back into my "I hate those &%#$Q Commanders" ways.

How'd I do? :D

We all will miss Sean Taylor very much. Thank you for this post.

It's sad and scary at the same time. The news said Sean heard a noise, got out of bed, and went to investigate. That's why I have an alarm system. I'm wondering if he had an alarm system and forgot to set it. Either way, your heart goes out to his family and kids. They now only have photos and videos to remember their father. Lesson learned: hug your kids as often as you can. You never know when it's the last time you'll see them. RIP Sean.

That's right... :bicep:

I'm a crazy cowboys fan and actually found this board because of the tragedy.

I think at the end of the day we are all fans of the game and you have to appreciate those who have fallen.

:laugh2:

My alram system is 3 Chihuahuas! A burgler could be 80 ft away from entering the house and those damn dogs would go off!

Now, way back I had a 185 lb St. Bernard (used to breed them) and the only way he would stop a burgler is because the burgler would trip over that big boy while the dog was laying down by the door. Even then, after getting tripped by the big dog, the damn dog would probabaly show the burgler where all the valuable stuff was!

Wonderful, beautiful, loving dogs...a working dog, for sure.

;)

It's amazing when you lower the gloves how thoughtful and caring people really are. Just like the players go all-out during the game but afterwards shake hands and act like humans again.
