I served in the Air Force from 87-91 before getting outta dodge and going to college. During that time I found myself over in combat the first time we decided to stir things up over there in 90. I was 20 years old. (showing my age) I was an ammo troop. During the conflict, war, whatever you want to call it I spent months on a small island in the Indian Ocean where I worked long days doing one thing and one thing only... building bombs which were loaded onto b-52s and dropped over hostile territory hours later. My memory of that was the fun we had writing chalk messages on the bombs before loading them. I salute everyone else that has served past, present, and those who decide to make it a future career. :starspin

Nice, my parents are 'cold war' veterans, and I always used to make fun of them for that, but they both did invaluable service to the US. My mom worked radar in Alaska and often had communications with Russian jets, and my dad was an electrician who worked on the B-2.
