Thanks for all of the hard, thankless work you guys do to keep this site running and trying to keep it sane. It's difficult work and pretty much all the rewards you get are griping about how whatever is unfair.

The rules are in place for a reason and should be respected. Yours is a thankless task but I wholeheartedly thank you.

Thank you for the kind words :D

I understand the frustration with rules because I have been on the user side of moderation actions many times over the years on other sites and it can be very irritating especially when you think you did nothing wrong.

Most people do not realize how bad I hate benching users. I post warnings everywhere to prevent it, not because I am mad about something someone did.

The internet is filled with so much hate, anger and insults and that is what drives the staff and myself to keep this place as friendly as possible.

There is only so much you can do though because fans are very passionate about sports and that includes teams, players and coaches so there are bound to be heated debates and insults directed at each of those sometimes.

I know CowboysZone and its rules will not make everyone happy, but I like knowing that a lot of the users here appreciate the escape it provides from the nastiness that infects many other less moderated or group-think-only internet communities.

A lot of the bigger outlets could learn some things from this place. I think the basic intentions of most users are positive/well meaning but it is good to see the rift-raft taken care of quickly as well. I get more of a community vibe here and we owe that to you guys/and Woodys Gal.

Appreciate this place, definitely my go-to to get away from the nonsense out there:thumbup::starspin:

I salute you because before you can respond to a post, you have to consider the service you perform here. I am sure, nay, more than positively certain there have been many times you'd like to fire off. Especially when someone holds the fact you are a mod against you.

The one thing I learned early on on the old site was when interacting with mods, disregard they are the gendarmes and just treat them as posters. I knew a lot of the mods on the old site before they crossed to the dark side. And they struggled to balance partying with the inmates with putting some in cyber straight jackets.

I also like it that you let it go sometimes because without some of those little spats that show up, this would be boring. The warning shots get fired but not before we have a grand time with two posters meeting behind the dumpster after school for a showdown.

Did not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This place is awesome.

Having been a mod, I'll be the first to tell you it's a thankless job. And there are still those who carry on this little hate thing!!! Which is ok, it's quite entertaining.

I would much rather have the slightly tough moderation that the disgusting, hateful, divisive things I see on other sports message boards. I will say that message boards of professional teams seem much more friendly, message boards of college teams make me very sad.

I am thankful for this site. Some bring their bad mood here to purge it on others but I have discovered this is a great place to change that bad mood. All we have to do is allow others to help.

There is a lot of fun to be had here but more importantly, there are some warm and caring souls here that reach out to others they've only met through this vehicle.

I've shared this before and hope others take heed as I have seen this happen. In the darkest times of my life, I did not seek light here or there at the old site, didn't think that was what it's for and I could not have been more wrong. I kept my pain to myself when there was healing available. A person in pain cannot have too much healing.

Now, I have seen others share heartache with lost family members, pets, divorce and share life changing decisions here. With people they've never met in person. I hope everyone realizes how special that is.

I could never explain my connections here and at the old DC.com to someone that doesn't come here to experience this. They could not understand how people I've never met in person could live in my heart.

Suck up.....or is someone getting ready to do something he's gonna need leniency for?

Yeah I think @BigStar hit the nail on the head with the word community. Definitely feels that way around here, which, I love. And I cannot stand politics, so it is super awesome to not have to sift through any of that when we come on this board. I really appreciate that.

So definitely big thank you to the mods.
