I want to thank all offensive players. You and only you are the reason Dallas has a winning record.

Not sure if I agree. Nobody wants to admit it, but the defense has improved significantly from last year and actually has won us a couple games. Offense is our strength, yes, but give the D some credit.

Again, weren't we up 35 to 7 for much of the game? I don't think you can judge this defense based on a prevent defensive scheme. Just saying.

I guess you forgot how our defense forced turnovers in the final drives of the Seahawks and Giants games to solidify the wins. The 2013 Cowboys defense would let those teams drive down the field and win the games. Is our D statistically good? No, but they get it done in crunch time. That's what truly matters.

There was no pass rush all game. The offense made their job easy tonight and they still almost blew it.

It is not a playoff defense but fortunately we have a playoff offense.

True, they didn't provide a pass rush, but they still limited Chicago to seven points for much of the game. I don't judge it on the 28 points it gave up because the scheme changed. And as we've seen before, and not just with the Cowboys, prevent defenses give up points.

I know the defense isn't great. But holding the Bears to 7 points on their home field for much of the game? I'll take it. The way our offense was moving, I can see why the strategy was to play prevent.

Of course, hindsight is 20/20.

Actually, we're not all that much more productively this season than we were last season. It's the defensive improvement from awful to below average that's got us winning a few more games.

Remember, too, we lost 5 games by a total of 8 points last season with a very, very bad defensive unit on the field most of that time. Even incremental improvement matters.

But we won't beat solid teams with good QBs if we can't defense the pass better than we're able to do right now. We still need better defensive players to get where we're going.

Actually, I don't think the defense has enough talent to be good, especially the pass rush. Tyrone Crawford is the only star, and he doesn't play a role that ever gets significant QB pressures and sacks. Scandrick is playing beyond his skillset, and his intensity and playmaking helped stop the Bears comeback. This defense is not going to shut anyone out, the best you can hope for is that they can force a punt from time to time, and create turnovers. They will give up significant points to a quality offense, every time, no stopping that.

DISCLAIMER -
I have 100% zero stats to backup what I am about to say:

I am also pretty sure we saw lesser offenses/QBs this year as compared to last.

I really loved the part when the offense only gave up 3 points to Tennessee and just 17 in three other games. They totally shut those offenses out...
