Some time back I posted here when I was shopping for a smartphone upgrade. People made a lot of suggestions, and I'm grateful for that. I ended up getting a refurbished, unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note 4. It was a great choice. It's got a nice, big screen, and I love that it has a stylus. I've missed that since my Palm Pilot days. This thing is a huge upgrade over my Moto G. I also upgraded my cell phone plan and now actually have enough data.

Just wanted y'all to know asking for advice here really helped. I'm sure some of the other suggested phones would have worked out too.

Maybe the overall best 'Droid' ever made - and that's two years after it was introduced. Big advantage that you can remove the battery. Buy a couple of replacement batteries, and I bet this device will last 5+ years.

Cool. This week, I asked all my friends for advice on a new device and they all recommended the Galaxy Note 7. I mean, strongly recommended it. Some of them even offered to buy me one. Man, I have the best friends.

Notes have a long shelf life. I had a Note 1 and didnt bother upgrading until the 4 came out. I still use my 1 as an MP3 player

Thanks for the info. I'm loving my Note 4 thus far. It doesn't feel like an obsolete phone at all. I can do everything I want with it. I'm bummed that the 7 has been having these serious battery issues. I want them to keep making this series because at some point I'll upgrade to a later one (not the 7), not that I'm in any hurry.
