Turkey and Pumpkin Pie sure tastes better after a Cowboys victory.
Certainly not much to complain here, but there were some annoyances. The 88-yard drive got my dander up some. That and the 4th quarter garbage time drive were the only sustained drives Oakland really had.
The good news though:
- It sure was nice to see all three running backs break one for 20+yards.
- I thought Alan Ball had a good game. Despite the TD pass given up to Heyward-Bey, he made a specacular play along the sidelines. So did Gerald Sensabaugh.
- Spencer, Ware and the Rattler really had a excellent game. I am so happy to see Spencer get that first sack monkey off his back. Ratliff and Ware are destined for the Pro Bowl.
- Buehler was being ...... um, Buehler. Only 2 of 5 kickoffs did not reach the end zone. The kick caught at the 2 the guy only made it to the 16 yard line. I am thrilled with that. The kick at teh end of the half was a preventive kick where the guy really made a nice catch on that line drive kick. That easliy could have glanced off his hands and became anybody's ball.
- Folk needs to get out of his funk though. I am not going to get on his case too much. He has won some big games for the Cowboys.
- Tony Romo is now 35-15 in his first 50 games. For an overrated quarterback like so many critics proclaim, a 70% winning percentage is not bad. Now get to the playoffs and win one.
- I could not believe that stat CBS put up where the Cowboys have outscored the opponents 101-6 in the 4th quarters of the Thanksgiving games going back to 1999.
- For a quarterback with no pocket presence (according to Theisman) that was one heck of a spin move Tony put on and hit Roy Williams about 10-yards downfield along the sidelines.
Finally, anybody who predicted Dallas to have a losing record this season (Emmitt), guess what?
YOU ARE WRONG!!!!!
