I figured since it is that time of year I thought I would recall a few of my favorite Cowboys Thanksgiving games.
1. 1992 vs the Giants-Emmitt was on lockdown in the first half and broke out of it in the second half and sealed the game with his 68-yard TD run.
2. 1990 vs the Commanders-I just loved how the Cowboys scored 17 unanswered points against a team with Super Bowl aspirations, and the 48-yard TD run by Emmitt, making Darrell Green look bad, was icing on the cake.
3. 1994 vs the Packers- I just like the way we fought back in that game. I was real nervous because Troy Aikman was injured, and even worse, Sterling Sharpe was KILLING us in the 1st half. Then in the 2nd half our offense got untracked, Emmitt had 133 yards, and caught 6 passes for 95 more, including a 68-yarder, and Jason Garrett led us to a 42-31 win.
4. 1996 vs the Commanders- This was one of Emmitt's off years. He got benched against the Giants the week before, and rebounded nicely with 155 yards, and going over 10,000 for his career.
5. 2004 vs Bears-This game didn't look too good at first with Drew Henson starting. I enjoyed this game because it got me excited about our running game again, and Julius Jones out-rushed his brother Thomas Jones 33-150 2TD to 14-46, and we won 21-7.
