"Why all the 'get rid of Parcells' threads?!" shouts one corner of the Cowboyszone fandom. Can't ONE thread do? Can we start a new section of the forum for the whiners!?
"Why can't we start unlimited threads about our desire for the 'fat man' (as some affectionately refer to him) to be gone! Is there a rule against it? And why can't you avoid our threads if you don't like them? Post your own threads!" shouts the other corner of the Cowboyszone universe!
"WHY CAN'T WE ALL GET ALONG?!" someone said long ago on the West Coast.
Well let me offer a reason for so many said threads, and why there is this current tension on the board.
IT'S CALLED HELPLESS FRUSTRATION. Those who want Parcells gone are thoroughly convinced that he should be gone, that he is holding the team and its fans hostage. But they can't make what they believe to be right happen. They are not only frustrated, they are helpless, and they know they are helpless, so the best they can do is let their voices (typing fingers) be heard.
And those (other than the mods) who want the THREADS TO STOP are also frustrated and helpless. I CAN'T MAKE IT STOP! Someone shouts.
So there. There is our middle ground. There is where the reconciliation can begin.
We are all frustrated and helpless.
By the way, I'm very bored as I wait for the Bears and Saints to start
