Nice take from blogging the boys:thumbup:

"The Dallas Cowboys offense has been quietly evolving throughout the season and after the coming out party on Monday night, the rest of the NFL is non-too pleased. After dropping the first game of the season to the Giants, the Cowboys went on an 11-game tear that appeared to manifest from a ground and pound game married with high percentage short to medium-range passing attack. Then the road games in Minnesota and New York happened and NFL analysts were in a full sprint to their keyboards to pronounce that the "blueprint for shutting down Dallas" had been released."

Someone made the comparison a few days ago on another thread that I think is spot-on; Prescott is what Aikman was in the Cowboys' run focused schemes of 90s; efficient passing game that can exploit defenses geared to stop our run game.

In addition to being the running threat that Aikman never presented.

I think he'll ultimately be better than that. This is his rookie season and he will get better and better and refine his deep ball throws.

actually aikman did run the ball, and he didnt do it alot, but had some nice runs in first few years.
he would usually take off and run towards sidelines on passing plays.
Dak is a better runner, especially in red zone.

No it's not. Dak's continued emergence has been fantastic. There were legitimate reasons to want to insert Romo earlier in the year. Those reasons are gone now. Again, great news.
