That Texas Stadium Crowd is CRAP!

Hey CR, I was at the game, too. Was sitting by the Lions entrance.

It was noisy in my section. Can't comment on anybody else. Rowdy kicked the ball into the stands and it flew right over my head. I'm mad, cuz I had my camera in my hand and it kept me from going after it.

As for the crowd noise. The game was dead today. TS has been noisy at other games I've gone to. This just wasn't one of them.

I'll stand by what I've said in the past. Buy a ticket, go to the game and do your part. Complaining about the lack of noise doesn't do any good if you aren't there...

You were there?! I was there?!? We coulda finally taken this relationship to the next level.

Stupid JJT.

I think the biggest problem is that Dallas fans are spoiled. We've seen great teams very recently. Because of that, not that much excites them. It is annoying though.

But as I read through the forum sometimes, I can't help but wonder if the crowd is too busy worrying about their own agendas to really cheer ;)

LOL. It's not cool to hold onto unrealistic fantasies.

BTW, thought you got a new friend, Crown... :)

Wow - didn't know you remember that.

And no, not anymore. Crown is back to being single, thusly, drinking Crown as well.

Thanks for bringing up a good subject.

Why don't you just play The Catch in front of my eyes? Or Santana Moss earlier this year?

okay..ive been to every home game this year....todays crowd was probably
the quietest of the year ( except after washington scored those 2 late TD's).

BUT....this was not a quiet crowd. i dont know what the TV showed but on
the Lions opening drive that first false start was because of the CROWD.

The times the Lions had the ball close to either end zone the crowd was LOUD.
I will admit it got quiet sometimes due to the 17 penalties disrupting the flow
of the game but i am not sure the crowd deserves the ripping on here.

My voice is shot every sunday when i get home and i am sure the people
around me have sore throats too. NO ONE has ever complained about
the noise where i sit.

The crowd has changed a lot since Landry was here, and it has changed
again since Jimmy was here. So come see for yourself and if we differ
thats cool too.

many people take the "texas cool" thing too far... especially in white-collar Dallas. dang near British in their reservedness.

Perhaps, but the limeys are not reserved at their football games, those guys make RaiderFan look like nerds ;)

do you remember Sat Nite Live skits of scottish soccer hooligans (mike meyers)?

i will say though i wish our crowd would quit trying to do a "wave",
especially when we have the ball.
i also wish the crowd would get noisy quicker instead of waiting for the
other teams offense to get to the line and then start screaming.
so i am sure we dont have the loudest craziest crowd but i have been
pretty proud of them this year.

I agree about the wave... That was some funny stuff to watch today. The lower level was not in synch w/the upper level.

I agree w/some others who said the penalties were killing the intensity for me. Another thing that was killing me were all the TV timeouts. It slows the game down tremendously... Players are just standing around trying to stay loose for the next play..

And then the cheerleaders are horrid. Man, they need a new choreographer and their music needs to be changed. Their routines are so dry, IMO.

Crown, true that about the Mavs but I think the Mavs crowd is a lot more "rowdy and loud" than the Cowboys crowd

I went to the game last year against the Spurs where we killed them by 36 points and I was sittin way up in the high section and even people there were jumpin out of their seats and yelling and cheering

THEN, I went to Game 2 of the playoffs against the Rockets in the 1st round and sat in the 20th row and it was insane in there... people jumping up and yelling after practically every made basket by the Mavs

I love going to Mavs games

Marc Cuban also made it that way. Didn't he have cow bell nights and other stuff. I remember him trying to get the crowd rowdy as hell. And then there was that really cool Playoff game where he paid for tickets for Dallas residents to attend the away game. People say Jerry is a good owner but he's nowhere near Cuban in inspiring the fans. I can honeslty say that when I used to go the Spurs games in San Antonio, the crowd was louder than Cowboys home games. Sad indeed.

The crowd sounded pretty darn loud on the radio. There were many times they drowned out Brad Sham.
