That was better Eberflus!! I know the Washington "Knights who say Nee" were down a lot of WRs, but that was better!!

I liked seeing more man coverage. We had a lot less open receivers running against us than normal. I liked the more physical style. I liked what we did against the run for the most part. All in all, that was better. I'd like to see us do that more and use more blitzes. However, that was much better!!

Them being down Wr’s mean nothing to me because when we are down people its always “no excuse”

And this same defense was so bad the giants benched Wilson after he threw for his career high because they knew it didnt matter

Will i give Eberflus credit…..ill give him 1/3th of a credit……i still wanna wake up to a hes been replaced headline

Oh, I agree. I was just adding that in because I know detractors would. That said, this was BRILLIANT from him today.

In fairness it was 4th string recievers

Thats my question as well

Changes dont take that long especially when the defense is that bad
It definitely fits the players better. But let’s see what happens when we aren’t playing against the bottom of the roster recievers. We need more pressure and keep playing man. But can’t really judge if it’s “fixed” by this game

Hopefully we play against opponents down their 2 best WRs and face their 2nd string QB for a half.

That will help.

A lot.

I know, and I stated as such. But it's something that the team may be able to build on.
Man fits the players abilities better. It certainly helps to play to their strengths. But I’m not sure our d is fixed. We don’t need a top 10 D to win. Just avg and we win most games. Can they be avg against starting recievers is the real question. And can we get more pressure so they don’t have to cover for 30 seconds

Well, at least if we can keep the players playing to their strengths, it can make things easier to see where the needs are specifically. And we should see about how to move Diggs.

No
That was a team without its top 3 WRs
Denver will blow the doors off

Congrats to Eberflus for helping the defensive backfield by using more man coverage. The personnel of the Cowboys' defense needed their coaching to permit them to do what they do best, rather than forcing them to accept what they aren't comfortable with. By all indications, it favored their play.

Man coverage = less coverage busts which was a dramatic improvement.
Yep, our confusion in zone lead to so many big plays against. The other thing that many aren't talking about is that we spied Daniels a lot and did not let him make plays in the run game. The few times he took off we had someone close by to corral him.

What I think is more important is mixing and matching our coverages. Staying in the same defense isnt working for us. Making them guess a bit can cause just enough indecision that leads to some plays made on D.

But they stopped the run better than they have all year or at least earlier this is the best game as far as stopping the run and the pass since the Eagles game think about it is AJ Brown and Devante Smith along with Saquon Barkley are are they four stringers 'cause maybe I lost this but the Cowboys defense in the 2nd half only gave up three points the offense actually dropped a lot of passes and had a fumble and probably cost us to win in that game so let's be fair in all fairness they played pretty well in the second half of the Philly game they played well for 3/4 in the Jets game so this isn't new but this version of this defense playing more man bringing the safeties closer to the box was better for this defense going forward if they can do this then they have an opportunity to not have starting receivers go off..

I just want to make sure in all fairness yes I can do that too with all sarcasm they stopped AJ Brown with Smith and Saquon Barkley in game one and that was on the road against the Super Bowl champions we should have won that game And then we beat the Jets similar the defense played pretty well so if we could just get this moving forward in all fairness we might get better..
In all fairness LOL..
