Now has 3 1/2 sacks and 3 or 4 TFL's in 2 games. And a forced fumble in the redzone.

yeah you are probably right, probably nothing because Wade looks so lost right now...but too many people in CZ wrote Ellis off as an overrated scrub or something, and he's a good player

Normally, I would agree with this. But after last night's performance where Manning had little pressure following a game where Leftwich was unsacked, you have to ask yourself what we lost by letting Ellis go.

I do think he's a better LDE in the 4-3 though than an OLB in the 3-4, he was miscast there a bit.

Still, no question he was our 2nd best pass rusher.

Ellis was always at his best against the divisional teams.

Last year in the same spot against the eagles in the opener him and ware forced mcnabb into bad spots.

It was time for ellis to go if he couldnt stop whining but he probably would have helped that sorry group last night.

The guy is a DE... This is yet another indictment of Wade. Captain Clueless... Everyone keeps telling me that Spencer is going to be a worthy replacement and I keep holding out hope for it. He made a few good plays last night but was largely inconsistent. Spencer was one of my biggest worries coming into this season knowing that he was being handed the position outright. I would feel sooo much better about that other DE position if Ellis and Spencer were sharing time giving Spencer a chance to work into it instead of becoming the man. This all stinks of bad decision making by the HC... Singletary would have had this team at least focused and there would have been "accountability" for some of these dumb *** mistakes these players continue to make at pivotal times of games. I never wanted Wade and look forward to the next great HC project...

probably close to his long-term average of a sack every other game + lots of QB pressure. He had an unfortunate personality, but he was a solid pressure player that became a victim of Jerry's big tent financing issue$.

Well, the GM has decided to move a off-field problem child in Ellis, but retain a on-field flop in Carpenter.

It seems to me that decisions like these keep the 'boys from getting better as a team.

come on hostile. I support current cowboys as well, and he got on my nerves with that whining, but Ellis never allowed ware to get doubled like he is. I would gladly hear in whine in training camp and still give me 8 to 10 sacks during the season.

Pac-Man and Tank are the only 2 "problem guys" that definitely should be gone at this point.

If Wade had any fortitude one of his first decisions would have been made to implant his signature on the defensive side of the ball. That would have involved putting Ellis back on the line. Did he do it? No. Jellyfish....
