If people get excited about Jason Garrett, they'd get even more excited by DW's name.
DW has more experience, has been a HC (albeit arena league) and remains a fan favorite.
Odd that with names ranging from Gibbs to Turner to Reeves and to Phillips (barf on each count), DW's name is mentioned no where.

How come?

How come what? You just mentioned it...

Aikman and Staubach or Kosar and Carter have been mysteriously absent from the list as well.

question: does anyone find GimmetheBall's funny threads, funny?

Well, at least he does not say, "The GimmetheBall wonders why....."

Now, THAT is annoying!

Could it be because none of them have coaching experience. Danny White has at least coached. And been sucessfull. Even if it was in the Arena League. He has won a frew Arena League Championships.

Ummm...I'm not really sure, but, someone told me that the Arena League is NOTHING like pro football...but, I could be wrong?

While we're at it why do we interview Gary Hogeboom too.

He's a "Survivor" you know.

I think thou has missed the smart*** in my post.

I wonder why. It's obvious he's not on anyone's list. But why? Is he stupid (I know he isn't) or what. I've been gone from Texas over 15 years now. So what is it with Danny?

He's forgotten and last I heard in Arizona. Out of sight and out of mind, he didn't win a Super Bowl or put up Marino stats so ESPN doesn't remind anyone about how good he was.

Despite the smart alecks, Danny was very successful in the Arena league, but if he has any serious aspirations of coaching, he needs to land a position in the NFL as a position coach first.

Teams may gamble on a player from the Arena League, but no one's going to turn over the offense or defense, much less the entire team, to a guy who's resume only shows the Arena League.

Danny White gets no coaching respect.

ASU (his alma mater) has passed him by twice now for much inferior coaches.

Hey, I won some Madden 2004 Championships. Can I coach?

I heard DW has some attitude issues. Maybe that negative attitude is why he has been glossed over by the NFL and College....

Never heard that one. Must have been a phase cause he's always seemed like a mellow guy unless a coach was yelling "No, no! No, Danny, No!"

But some posters here are right that he don't get no respect. As evidenced by some venomous responses in this thread.

brrrrrr.

:laugh2:

I agree that it is foolish to just pass over white. He has actual head coaching experience---unlike Jason Garrett. Garrett is just another Campo or Turner waiting to happen. White has experience running a team. Jerry should at least interview the guy. It isn't going to cost him anything to do that.
