Schotty on Milton

It's not that I dont have confidence in Milton because hes relatively untested.....its that I dont have confidence in the FOs evaluation of talent
That I get. I don’t have confidence he can be a starter quality player. But looking at the risk/reward it’s seems worth seeing

Lol. Seriously?

Favre is one of the best qbs to ever play the game. He was the definition of a gunslinger. That has nothing to do of not being able to throw the ball with Touch. Which he always could do.

Milton cant. Never couldt. Not in college, not during his nfl stint until now. All the guy has is a strong arm.

He was let go by his old team.

But you compare him to favre?

Again. Seriously?
The comment was about every throw being a rocket. The comparison is about that, not his talent

Good article on Milton via Landry Hat

Snipet....The Joe Milton Experience was on full display today. The highs were fun (including this ~20 yard scamper off a broken play) and the lows were definitely notable (a pair of INTs to Shemar James and Buddy Johnson).“The talent speaks for itself,” HC Brian Schottenheimer said Show more

Has his positives & negatives as expected from a 6th rd qb
Locks on early, cant come off 1st read

Wrong wrong wrong and more wrong prescott has never choked in big spots the team choked and of course he didn't play well kinda hard to play well when you don't have a run game an offensive line tons of penalties playing behind the chain the defense that gives up a touchdown on every single score you're playing from behind under pressure no separation from your receivers..

Right the casuals around here continue to say he plays ok no he's actually an MVP quality player at times top 10 at worse and yet he chokes in big games no he chokes in big spots from a casual viewpoint that doesn't understand that football is made up of a lot of players and moving pieces it's called a team game and when those pieces fall apart of course the quarterback is going to look bad starts in the trenches has everything to do with stopping the run and being able to run and play defense and when you do have time to throw you have to have somebody open I mean apparently these things just go right by and I'm not having this discussion with you you are the problem..

But you are correct on Millen people are not realizing this is a larger possibly just slightly better version of Trey Lance he said total Q? People hoping they see him is insane prescott's going to be here at least two more seasons strap it down get ready all the complaints is not gonna matter we have a very good quarterback that if you give him stronger play from the team instead of the giant pile of the crap we get from this team and this coaching staff from the last couple of decades in the big moments in those big game for talking about not having talent in the regular season having that talent actually show up when the heat gets turned up.

That hasn't happened but quarterback shaming acting like he is a deer in a headlights and choked in big moments is absolutely incorrect he absolutely can't carry the team when the rest of the team is collapsing around him that would be a true fact not many quarterbacks can look at Patrick Mahomes looking like he was back at Texas Tech playing the Eagles defense that's what a real defense looks like when it can stop an offense and the offense has no answer andy Reid looked like he was back being an old coordinator again that's what happens when the team shows up and is dominant at every level it makes your quarterback look really good..

But when they're screwing things up they can't line up right they can't block they can't create a run game they can't stop the run they can't play defense they can't get open all this stuff has happened..
Actually you have it backwards. It's the casuals who think he's awesome.

And he did choke. Badly in our last playoff game. He was awful. Teams was too.

Getting harder to find voices of reason around here.
Cheers bro.
It truly doesn't take an extensive background in coaching or scouting to see a lot of these obvious mis evaluations of Zoners trying to hype unproven players.

Never will quite understand how the star on the helmet is supposed to make the player something he's not.
And especially if he's never been nothing before like most of this year's FA haul.

Is it hope springs eternal or hope is mis-placed?
Here anyway, lol.

Cowboys!
Man, IDK. And they won't listen to reason. I was asked why I didn't "like" Reggie Robinson. So, I pointed out that he has poor lateral agility and doesn't seem to have any football instincts. And, of course they didn't listen. Next time I saw the poster they were putting him in the HOF again.

Give it time folks, give it time.
The players will let you know who they want behind center after TC.

Best case scenario is that he’s a decent backup.

I have zero illusions about him ever being a starter and I’m ok with that.

John Machota on GBAB nation a couple days ago was at the first OTA. According to him Milton's accuracy was still lacking. And you all know I wanted to move on from number 4 after his rookie deal expired in 2019.
So your opinion is suspect?
