The 2 seed not getting a bye

Absolutely ridiculous that the NFL did this.

They are so money hungry that they have decided to get rid of something that teams have always had an incentive to earn to have a better shot at getting to a championship.

Since they decided to extend the season and dilute the NFL playoff with extra teams I wish they had just gone ahead and allowed 1 more team into the wildcard round and let 2 teams still get a 1st round bye.

It wasn’t broke before but now nearly half the league gets into the playoffs. Should’ve just added the extra team so more than 1 team gets a bye.

If you had 8 playoff teams with 2 byes that gives you 3 winners advancing from the wild card round. That gives you 5 teams in the divisional round.

I am fine with the change… it increases competition for the bye week, thereby creating more competitive late season games.

It's all about the money and always will be! Wouldn't surprise me to see them eventually add an 8th team and just get rid of the bye so they can get an extra playoff game for #1 vs. #8

Further cheapens getting into the playoffs.

The is the most physically damaging of all the team sports. As such there is always incentive for teams to treat the last 2-3 games like preseason once they've clinched everything. Giving teams the byes offers another thing to play for. HFA and the bye save us from too many of those "practice squad" games.

I understand your point Ronnie, but it’s more of an incentive to get that #1 seed. Not only do you get a bye but you also get home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Just keep on winning and we’ll get both!

right now only 1 seed has a bye. leave it to NFL and they might go to 8 team playoff and we get a bunch of nobody teams like NBA making playoffs, for the sake of making money....

A gender neutral form of pas de deux would be best. That way you only have to carry one designated dancer on your team. Would probably make themes easier to do as well

I'm actually a fan of the move the league made. Keeps more teams in the race, makes getting the #1 seed that more important.

As of right now the match ups we would get are:

Bills/Chargers and Cardinals/Panthers

One of those I am much more excited about than the other, but i'm not missing either game.

I have a bigger issue with the NFL going to 17 games than I do the playoff expansion.
