I have been and remain skeptical but optomistic of Romo. I was in the camp that didn't know if Romo was the answer,, but knew Bledsoe wasn't, so I wanted Romo in. I am still in my evaluation period of Romo and I have not formed a concrete feeling about him yet.. but he is winning me over, week by week.
Romo has been impressive over his 3 starts. But there are 2 throws that have really showed me alot about the kid. The first one, was against Washington, the 26 yard strike to Witten as time was running down, to set up the game winning FG that got blocked. That was a perfect throw, in a very High pressure, very hostile environment. That type of poise and concentration can not be coached.
The other throw was the 51 yd TD pass to TO against ARZ. What was impressive about it, was not the arm strength, he underthrew it a tad, but his mechanics on the throw. That play happened because of a pre snap read. When he was dropping back, he never looked to his left.. which held the S in the middle,, his back foot hit on step 5, the wheeled and throw a stike to TO on the sideline. The fact that he looked off the safety and never really even looked at TO before the ball came out, shows his confidence level in both his ability and that of TO.
Those are the throws that have impressed me the most.
What about you guys?
