The 2006 Anti-Superbowl Game

It's not ju st the fact that TO was con sidered a cancer to the team by many (not necessarily me), but the team is healthy again, the confidence is high bec ause our 1st team is back in the Hu nt (McNabb, Westbrook, Moats, the OL and the DL). We've got a huge appetite to win and to sho w everyone that 2005 was an isolated scenario primarily (but not exclusively) due to injuries.

dude, you're speaking from a fan's perspective, not the team's, unless you have this magical insight, or have talked to the majority of the players, so Jack is telling you that from our perspective, as Cowboy fans, since we are less attached to the Eagles, that we shall wait and see if your team is truly patched up

Hope is one thing, reality is quite another.

All fans want to believe the best for their team. It's the nature of being a fan.

But just because you want something to happen doesn't mean it will.

In terms of overall on-field talent, the Eagles have the least in the division. Their talent level has been surpassed by the Commanders, Giants, and Cowboys.

And the Eagles receiving corps is the worst in the league.

They won 0 division games last season.

And all teams in the division improved more than Philadelphia did.

You hope things are "repaired" in the locker room, though tangible evidence would point to the contrary.

You hope that their running game improves, although there are no visual signs that it should.

You hope that the Eagles receiving corps can do enough to get by.

You hope that "The Bust" Jevon Kearse somehow turns it around this year after two seasons of stealing money.

You hope that Bunkley steps in and immediately becomes a solid contributor.

Lots of hopes there, but few sure things to say the least.

You know your team is struggling for players when you have to list your starting and backup running backs both as 1st team players. Simply because you don't have enough names to draw from.

I honestly do not know how to respond to this. I hate you.

Are you sure?

Yes I am sure. ;)

It would have been considered nitpicking had I suggested more names like "Superbowl of the Regular Season", or "Mini-Superbowl". But I was just trying to help. Perhaps I should have suggested to P-T that using the word "Superbowl" might not be a good idea since we all know how the Eagles usually fare in that game. :p:

Is that nitpicking?

Each of the 12 NFC East battles will each have its own drama and spin.

Dallas-Philly: McNab/TO-- it's war!
Dallas-Washington: Almost Enough said! Gibbs/Parcells; Revenge for the sweep!
Dallas- New York: Parcells/Coughlin; Dallas' OT's have something to prove
Philly-New York: Always a bloodbath!
Philly-Washington: A healthy McNabb makes all the difference.
New York-Wasington: Moss vs. Moss; Lavar and Pierce vs. their old team;

ah, then in that case, meh, unless Sinorice is a major contributor, I don't see that as being much of a story-line

They are brothers all the same. Eli plays his brother earlier in the season, then Sinorice plays his twice. I am sure some doucher on Fox will try and make a story out of it.

true, but it won't get much play unless Sinorice turns into a pretty good WR before the game, I could see his name being used as a poing of reference, but that's about it
