McClay does a wholly solid job at acquiring talent via the draft. I'm now ready for him to expand his repitoir to the FA market. Need an aggressive posture this year...

Still too early to go either way on this. Could end up being 5 or 6 good starters + our franchise QB OR could be that we ended up with a slightly crazy RB...I will say that the 2016 draft class already isn’t as good as we all thought

Ok? The 2015 draft just completed 3 years in the NFL. You sort of get a better idea of your players by year 3.
Now you may have a late bloomer but usually not.

An unbiased look at it...

2016
Ezekiel Elliott - Stud. Would love to take a nap with my head on his chest.
Jaylon Smith - Just a guy. Don't know if he can ever be more than that with drop foot.
Maliek Collins - Regressed. Could just be a depth player.
Charles Tapper - Always injured. Done little of note.
Dak Prescott - Bad QB. Wasting time.
Anthony Brown - Regressed. Depth player.
Kavon Frazier - Special teams demon and a pretty nice in the box S in a pass happy era. Means he's limited.
Darius Jackson - Cut
Rico Gathers - Has done nothing yet.

Overall: A stud RB and a few backup types who could end up being more. A QB not good enough that the team will waste years trying to build around.

2017
Taco Charlton - Quiet rookie year. Don't know yet.
Chidobe Awuzie - Looks legit.
Jourdan Lewis - Looks legit.
Ryan Switzer - Promising returner. Don't know about WR yet.
Xavier Woods - Maybe something here but looks like a depth player.
Marquez White - Practice squad.
Joey Ivie - Cut. Out of the league.
Noah Brown - Bottom of the roster blocker for the most part. Developmental player.
Jordan Carrell - Cut. Out of the league.

Overall: Less heralded than 2016 but has a good chance of landing more quality starters, IMO. Jury's still out of course.

The Jags 2016 draft was amazing and we had higher picks. Jaylon Ramsey - 1st round, Myles Jack - 2nd round, and Yannick Ngakoue - 3rd round. Better than Zeke, Jaylon, and Collins. If we took Jordan Howard over Tapper in the same draft we would have been set at RB too.
